The baseball card world has changed some since Friday -- and some might call it a transcendent change -- and Blowout wants you to be a part of it.

The priciest box of baseball cards ever made, 2016 Topps Transcendent Collection, arrived Friday with just 65 metal briefcases packing 168 cards -- 52 of those autographed -- inside along with an invitation to a Jan. 18 party in Las Vegas to meet reigning National League MVP and World Series champion Kris Bryant.

One of those items found inside a group break box yet to be ripped by BlowoutTV could be yours, including the party invitation. How? Simply find the @blowoutcards Twitter account and it's tweet about this ... and retweet it. (Spoiler: Click the link above and you have found it.)

The priciest box of baseball cards ever made, 2016 Topps Transcendent Collection, arrives today with just 65 metal briefcases packing 168 cards -- 52 of those autographed -- inside along with an invitation to a Jan. 18 party in Las Vegas to meet reigning National League MVP and World Series champion Kris Bryant.

“Going to an event like this is every sports fan’s dream,” said David Leiner, Topps' VP & GM of the North American Sports and Entertainment Division. “You can’t get this type of experience anywhere else. Whoever gets to go to the event will meet Kris Bryant in an intimate setting and talk to one of the best young players in today’s game. It’s going to be amazing.”

Every box of Transcendent Collection includes an invite and that includes accommodations, cocktails, dinner and a special gift, according to the company.

The first boxes to be opened by BlowoutTV are coming up soon -- 10:30 a.m. Eastern to be exact -- at www.breakers.tv/houdini and you can witness them via a live stream at that time. It's all your fault, Nintendo.

The hottest (though seemingly non-existent) toy of the holiday season has been without question the NES Classic, a miniature modern-day version of the old Nintendo Entertainment System pre-loaded with 30 different games from the heyday of the 8-bit platform.

Buzz knew this would be big the day it was revealed months ago and I've checked chain stores multiple times a week in the time since its arrival last month seeking that Shangri-La Shelf where the Classic sat at its posted price of $59.99 -- not the massive amounts more allegedly being paid on eBay. (Sure, some of those "sales" aren't legit -- many of them in fact -- but some of the lesser high-priced sales wouldn't shock me since I'm sure the NES Classic has caused angst for other people out there.)

There was a side effect after all this aisle-walking and checking out video games like I hadn't done in years, if ever. It made me do something I never would have predicted months ago.

Rashaan Salaam, the winner of the Heisman Trophy as the top college football player in the country back in 1994, died on Monday and was found in a park in Boulder, Colo. He was 42.

The former Colorado Buffaloes star rushed for 2,055 yards and 24 touchdowns in his final college season before playing four years in the NFL. The Chicago Bears took him with the 21st pick in the 1995 NFL Draft and as a rookie he rushed for 1,074 yards and 10 touchdowns. He added just 610 yards and three scores the remainder of his career, which ended as a member of the Cleveland Browns in 1999.

Chris Sale is headed to Boston for four prospects and the biggest one of them all is Yoan Moncada.

Moncada was a top-five prospect for the Red Sox and easily among the hottest prospects in the game in the last year or so. Now, he heads to the White Sox where big bats like Jose Abreu have arrived with an impact but fizzled over time in terms of cardboard.

The 21-year-old hit just .211 with one RBI in eight games with the Red Sox last season after a minor-league campaign that included a .294 average, 15 homers and 62 RBI in 106 games between Salem and Portland.
