Update: Riley has been on fire since his arrival with seven homers and 20 RBI in his first 14 games, hitting .375 (21-for-56) for the second-place Braves.

The newest Atlanta Braves rookie to watch is here -- and he homered in his big-league debut.

He's outfielder/third baseman Austin Riley and he went 1-for-3 with a home run in his first game last night, a solo shot in just his second at-bat during a 4-0 win over the Cardinals.

Baseball America ranked him as the No. 22 prospect in baseball entering this season and he had torn things up at Triple-A Gwinnett, hitting .299 with 10 doubles, 15 homers and 39 RBI in 37 games this season.

Fans of action figures -- at least retro-styled ones -- and baseball will have some new things to chase later this year.

MLB ReAction Figures will drop in August as part of the Supersports line from Super7 with 11 Hall of Famers in the Classic All-Stars lineup and and three mascots also in tow.

“Growing up, the first thing I ever collected was baseball cards. When I was seven years old, my uncle sent me a complete box of 1978 Topps Baseball Cards for Christmas," said Super7 Founder Brian Flynn. Collecting game-used memorabilia isn't as tough as it used to be, but matching a game-used item to it being used isn't easy at all. In fact, it can be downright impossible in many instances.

But not all -- and that's where PSA's new photo-matching game-used bat examination service comes in.

“It is not merely a style or model match, but instead an exact match to that item,” said Joe Orlando, Collectors Universe CEO, in a prepared statement. “While finding a true match can be difficult, there is no question that a confirmation can add value to a bat, even one that is already considered a high-grade example.”
