If you've ever wanted an autograph of MLB legend Ty Cobb but can't afford it, you're not alone. However, these boxes are the home of cut autographs from him and every box has a cut card that showcases a piece of handwriting from the Hall of Famer but at a far lower price than you might expect. It was a fantastic sight at Blowout Cards - The Fantastic Store on Wednesday as a holy grail of gaming walked in the door.

What you see here is a Pokémon Base Set 1st Edition Booster Box that's the home of the debut card for Charizard, a rarity that in top graded condition on its own sells for six figures. It's a card where celebs Logic and Logan Paul own and chase their own copies -- coughing up plenty for them just earlier this month.

Over on Blowout's Most Wanted where we're buying many types of these boxes, it's a monster, too. These boxes that only started arriving in the U.S. market in 1999 are as big as it gets with their own six-figure buying price. Click that link for the latest ... but as Buzz types this it's a cool $300,000. It's also not alone as there are other boxes commanding thousands ... and we're paying.

Why is there so much demand? Well, countless Pokémon boxes got ripped to sell as packs -- so sealed boxes are rare. And the rarest cards are even harder to find in top condition because, well, people played the game. For those who like to grade cards, there's hope that one of those monster cards is perhaps hiding inside ... but leaving the boxes sealed is also a safe long-term investor move. It's arguably a perfect storm.

I'm a sucker for a mystery grab bag on a lot of fronts and this one, well, is one of those results that has a story ... or really a bit of an anecdote behind it with a team you might have heard a lot about lately.

It's a ball with not one, not two but three authentication stickers taking over one panel -- and not all that aesthetically -- but that's because it started out as a Steiner Sports acquisition from a team and then when Fanatics bought out and took over Steiner then it stickered it up, too. (Ironically neither of those codes works ... it's no big deal and I chuckled.)

Meanwhile, the MLB Authentication sticker is the one that matters the most ... and this time it definitely revealed something of note. Sorta.

We really didn't change it much other than to freshen up the paint and add our store fixtures. We currently carry hockey, baseball, football and basketball sealed boxes. Normally we are fully stocked on UltraPro top-loaders, one-touches and we stock BCW storage boxes in a variety of sizes. We also have a singles inventory that is growing and changing for the four major sports. We also offer memorabilia through our B2B with AJ's. We can order almost anything that a collector might be looking for.
