A new Black November wave drops & here are five I'd grab

If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as the sixth wave of Blowout Cards' Black November sales is here

Many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

THE UNIQUE ONE ...
2020 Topps T206 Series 3 baseball box
Topps 206 is a throwback to the long-ago days of tobacco cards but this series is one that is even more different from the rest from last year and those from this year as well. It's the home of players in their MiLB unis and that includes super-rookie Wander Franco on the card you see here. It's a simple 50-card release with the chase being parallel backs and the crop of players includes some notables we have already seen in MLB and others who will be there soon. Among them? Adley Rutschman, Alex Kirilloff, J.J. Bleday, Marco Luciano, Andrew Vaughn, C.J. Abrams, Jo Adell, Julio Rodriguez, Ian Anderson, Joey Bart, Bobby Witt Jr. and others. These might be their most-unique cards you'll see all year and they are not a type of release that's a huge run, either. Only 28,225 10-card packs were made so once you do the math there's probably around 4,500 copies per card -- that's got to be low by prospecting standards. I just like these since they are unique -- and I think there's some good potential here long-term.

BARGAIN VOLUME
2013 Panini USA Baseball Set 10-box case
This case coughs up 90 hits every time -- and that's pretty nice for the price. I may be a broken record here with USA picks seemingly always making my lists but the safety in numbers is what makes this one a fun break. Among the signers here? Andrew Vaughn, Michael Conforto, Kyle Schwarber, Alex Bregman, Trea Turner, Carlos Rodon, Matt Chapman, Jack Flaherty and many more on both autograph and memorabilia cards. A good name on a rare card pays for a big chunk here and others can easily get you $20-30 or more ... and that makes the rest gravy. You get a base set in every box, too. This one is at box price for some prospect releases with a hit or two ... and this one has 90 with plenty of variety and low-end to high-end in approach and you can see some creative stuff here with some luck.

THEY LOVE DEAD LEAGUES ... AND IT'S COMING BACK

For now, the XFL is dead ... but it's coming back so the odd trend that a lot of football collectors out there love them some defunct football-league cardboard will be challenged. These boxes include at least three autos -- and if I remember correctly some included more -- and there are guys who are on NFL rosters (like Taylor Heinicke) right now and can sell. (Yep, this one sold for $99.) There are parallel cards and a deep checklist of autos here and I think this one does cater to perhaps college collectors seeking cardboard of players who don't have any others. There are notable coaches and others unique here on the checklist and ink here can include Bob Stoops, June Jones, P.J. Walker among others. Parallels seem to sell decently here and there, too. This one offers some good variety for a football fan.

SMALL CARDS, BIG POTENTIAL
2020 Topps On-Demand Mini baseball box
You have a one in 25 shot at a autograph or a dual-auto book here and you typically get three relatively rare parallels -- /25 or less -- every time so if you land a notable name in one of those spots you have a decent chance at a nice break for a small price. Along the signers? Pete Alonso, Cody Bellinger, Aaron Judge, Luis Robert and Juan Soto for starters. There are also a boatload of Rookie Cards to be found in the 1,000-card set.

A LONGSHOT ...
2016 Topps Rocky 40th Anniversary factory set
This one isn't as cheap as it used t0 be -- a sign that the volume remaining is likely lower than in the past -- but there's a reason. These 330-card sets are the home to rare Sylvester Stallone autographed cards that should fetch plenty as he's not a cheap signer at all and this is his career-making and defining role. This set looks at Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV, Rocky V and Rocky Balboa -- the full original run and the recent franchise reboot -- and it's a solid one. I've meant to pick one up for years now.
