Allen & Ginter X is returning for 2016 with an autograph in every box

Topps is bringing back the X once again.

Last year for the 10th release of its Allen & Ginter brand, Topps created a "parallel" product named Allen & Ginter X for the tobacco-styled brand with a black image background instead of the traditional white.

This year, it's back and it will be an online-only product -- initially only available at Topps.com -- packing a guaranteed autograph in every box.

That's something that, while they include three hits per, the hobby box does not. Details are unclear at this point how "exclusive" applies as seen on the box in regard to the autographs, but there were black minis in pictures of cards from at least one past signing.

Details are still to come on this one but Topps teased its presence on Monday.
