Jo Jo White was a Kansas Jayhawk before he was a Boston Celtic and an NBA-championship winner inducted into the Hall of Fame. Since then, he's also worked in the Celtics' front office.
A 25-lot sale open now via SCP Auctions includes memorabilia from all those times, including his Converse College All-America honors, two replacement rings for his titles with the Boston Celtics (the originals were lost) and his honorary 2008 Celtics championship ring from when he worked for the team.
Honors from throughout his career can be found on the auction block reflecting his career at Kansas and his 13-year NBA career that included a decade in Boston, two seasons with the Golden State Warriors and part of a season with the Kansas City Kings. He averaged 17.7 points and 4.9 assists per game for his career before be was inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
The top item so far in the sale is his 2008 Celtics ring, which has garnered 14 bids and sits at $17,270. His other two rings are at $3,025 (1974) and $2,750 (1976) with plenty of time before auction close. Nearly all other lots of his memorabilia presently sit at $1,000 or less.

Elsewhere in the sale that opened last Wednesday is a holy grail card for basketball collectors -- a PSA 10 1948 Bowman George Mikan Rookie Card, which is the only perfect copy in existence. The card previously sold at auction for $218,550 back in 2009.
This auction opened at $50,000 and is already at $117,900 after 10 bids -- the top item in the sale with full uniforms for Ernie Banks and Joe DiMaggio, which are presently at $47,163 and $194,873 respectively. Another item commanding attention is a one-of-a-kind PSA 10 1970-71 Topps Pete Maravich Rookie Card that's at $45,960 after 15 bids
The auctions will run until Dec. 5.
