Nearly 80 lots of Babe Ruth-related memorabilia are currently up for grabs as part of a Goldin Auctions sale that benefits the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum.
The event opened on Monday and runs until March 5 with five percent of the winning bid price of all lots going to the Museum. Among the items are a contract, a game-used bat, autographed baseballs and many other items related to the biggest name in the history of baseball.
"Goldin Auctions has brought some of the most valuable and rare Babe Ruth artifacts to auction, and through our partnership with the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation we continue to uncover great consignments," said Ken Goldin, the founder of Goldin Auctions. "Just like our historic Babe Ruth 100th Anniversary Auction, we expect the bidding to be competitive among the loyal universe of Ruth collectors."
