Bartolo Colon's Topps Now card fetches hefty prices on eBay after record-breaking production

2016-Topps-Now-Bartolo-Colon-Home-Run On Saturday, Bartolo Colon hit the first home run of his big-league career. On Sunday, that memorable moment became a Topps Now baseball card. On Monday, it became the highest-selling Now card ever with 8,826 copies sold.

Today? Well, it's now a $60 baseball card.

Screen Shot 2016-05-10 at 5.21.31 PM Forget the fact that these cards haven't been printed or shipped yet -- the demand for this card is hefty in eBay auctions. Why? It's a moment that's gotten plenty of mainstream media attention -- and the card has, too -- and it's a card that can't be found by taking a trip to a card shop or a Walmart. (And it's also The Big Guy in The Big Apple.)

Demand for the card isn't a fluke, either, with 19 auctions (and even more cards within those listings) completed for at least $30 a pop.

Plenty more are available -- and one listing alone on eBay shows more than 60 copies sold.

The irony here is that it's the most-plentiful Now card made by a large margin.
