Baseball America awards issue includes bonus inserts

And the award goes to ... those who open this one to find the cardboard treasures inside.

Baseball America's Best of 2024 Awards issue is here and just like its Draft Preview it's jam-packed with everything one needs to know -- and it once again includes bonus collectibles.

Beyond the annual awards, this double issue also features player profiles and scouting reports for 150 top prospects in the American League -- but the bonus insert should add to its demand. The inserts are similar to Sports Illustrated for Kids trading cards, which are heavily collected and, in the case of iconic stars and newcomers, often quite valuable.

The first two sheets are Baseball America Award Winners showcasing 10 stars ... but just like last time these are only found in subscriber copies.

Batting lead-off is MLB Player of the Year Aaron Judge and he's joined by their top rookie Paul Skenes, their top manager Dave Roberts, their top MiLB player Kristian Campbell, their top MiLB pitcher Quinn Mathews, their top high school player Konnor Griffin, their top college player Charlie Condon, their top college freshman Drew Burress and their top independent player Adam Fogel. Like the issue itself, each player's capsule documents their highlights of the past season.

Rounding out the first half of the set? Global superstar Shohei Ohtani -- with nine mini showcases of everything from his signing with the Dodgers to his unanimous MVP award. Here, his 50-50 Club season is Baseball America's Achievement Of The Year award-winner and that's the centerpiece to his sheet.

Future Prospects & One International Power Player
The second half of this set includes 17 draft picks -- all first-rounders or compensation picks -- with their new pro teams noted on the bonus insert and in some cases on their photos. The final one is of a star who figures to generate plenty of headlines once he decides on an MLB destination -- Japanese pro Roki Sasaki.
