Black Friday Wave 1 -- here are five deals to consider

If you hadn't noticed, our first wave of Black Friday boxes with discounted prices have dropped right now right here as BlowoutCards.com is bringing a wave approach to today's sales.

Here are five boxes/cases that caught this collector’s eye in this first wave.

2015 Bowman's Best MLB eight-box hobby case
Best returned after several years on the bench, bringing a new wave of prospects and rookies with a total of four autos per box via a mini-box format. While a number of prospect releases from this timeframe have blown up, this one is still more on the affordable side while also including some solid names among the parallel rainbow as well as on the autograph front. Among autographs possible here? Andrew Benintendi, Anthony Rizzo, Bryce Harper, Buster Posey, Blake Snell, Carlos Correa, Dansby Swanson, Francisco Lindor, Jose Altuve, Kris Bryant, Kyle Schwarber, Max Scherzer, Mike Trout, Rafael Devers, Trea Turner, Walker Buehler, David Ortiz, and more. It's a good mix of prospects and more with 32 autos per case and plenty of color and inserts, too.

2009 Upper Deck Signature Stars baseball hobby box
The rookie crop here hasn't aged super well, but this one includes some notable USA Baseball ink and other notables that can flow pretty well and the price here is quite low. Among possible autos are Derek Jeter, Albert Pujols, Chipper Jones, Clayton Kershaw, Jim Thome, Justin Verlander, Ken Griffey Jr., Randy Johnson, Roy Halladay, Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, Prince Fielder, Josh Hamilton, Ryan Zimmerman, Rick Porcello, David Price, Johan Santana, Todd Helton and plenty more. A number of them are on the rarer side and there are also multi-player sigs where any of those finds might pay for a box. The USA presence here is solid with a few cards for Harper, Machado, Trevor Bauer, Gerrit Cole on both the autograph and mem front. This isn't really a pick for a flipper (that's the first one) at a good price, this is just one for somebody who might want to chase some big names but on the cheap side. (Limit four boxes per person.)

2012-13 Panini Marquee NBA hobby box
These boxes are some serious bricks of cardboard with a lot of potential -- they've also tripled in price since the last time I busted one but the sale price here still isn't too much to not consider tearing in. Why? Because the loaded rookie crop is combined with tiers so you have the potential to find some good names on more than one RC here along with the hits and other inserts possible. Among the newcomers are Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green and plenty more. You also get a number of different card types here with die-cuts, fake leather, acetate cards and other cards that can really dazzle. Beyond rookies some of the ink here can include shots at Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, David Robinson, Scottie Pippen, Bill Russell, Julius Erving, Larry Bird, Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and plenty more.

2018 Topps UFC Museum Collection hobby box
The basics here are simple and follow a pretty consistent feel and theme if you've opened Museum Collection in the past. This one includes one on-card auto, one auto-Relic and one Relic every time along with some base and inserts/parallels. There are framed autos and rare mem cards, too, while some of the signers include Amanda Nunes, Anderson Silva, Arianny Celeste, Chuck Liddell, Dana White, Georges St-Pierre, Holly Holm and plenty more. Some of the biggest names might not be here but at the price it could deliver pretty well.

2018 Panini Prizm NASCAR hobby box
You get four autographs here and then 36 inserts and parallels atop that with some variations to chase, too. The notable newcomer here is Hailie Deegan -- and finding her ink or rare stuff will pay for a box, maybe more -- but there are are a lot of autos you can find here that are solid pulls. Chase Elliott, Danica Patrick, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Richard Petty and Tony Stewart are just some of the possibilities here with the key being parallels for all of them -- and there are a few autograph sets.
