If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as Blowout Cards' Black November sales have arrived this year.

The second wave is here and many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

BIG POTENTIAL ... BUT PLENTY OF BASICS
2021 Panini Diamond Kings baseball cards
I know that "art sets" aren't always a big part of some collectors' tastes, but when certain boxes are cheap they are worth the look as they can either cough up good ink for a good price to keep (more than flip) or one can chase the bigs a little more easily. This hobby box -- and two case sizes -- are in the new wave and that gets it the nod from me at the price. These have a strong mix of past all-time greats and then new players with autos, memorabilia and more possible. That means your memorabilia card here could potentially be a Babe Ruth just as much as it could be an Aaron Judge, Ken Griffey Jr. or Alec Bohm. (They're all in there. Sandy Koufax, too.) The autographs have some bigs in cut form as well as standard cards here, though ink does realistically skew young most often. Koufax, Nolan Ryan, Bud Selig, Bob Gibson, Griffey Jr., Willie McCovey, Judge, Mike Piazza, Rickey Henderson, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. ... there's a lot of ink from all eras of recent players here. If those don't grab you, keep in mind there are Downtown inserts here that, in graded form (check eBay) go for $300 and up and rare Blank Slate cards are also pricey in that direction, too. And they can often out-pace the ink. There's one auto and one memorabilia card here every time and these are loaded with inserts and parallels, too, to help out. I've pondered grading some of the Hall of Famers' base cards here, too, as many of them use iconic images. For the price, at worst, this a break loaded with names collectors will like. I am one, so this one is on my radar.

Keep reading for a few more boxes you should consider (and are likely to end up in Buzz's cart).

YOU NEVER KNOW ...
2020 Topps Star Wars Return of the Jedi: Black & White trading cards
These boxes are small but the approach here is one that stands out from a lot of the Star Wars formula of sets -- and that's why it gets my nod here. These offer up a look at the franchise's third film just as the name says -- in black and white -- with a lot of images I've not seen on cards as heavily as others. You get an autograph or sketch card in every box and ink is loaded with Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, Ian McDiarmid, Jeremy Bulloch and more possible here with some of those huge names obviously in some lower volumes ... but they're in there. Also in there are dual-auto cards, triple-auto cards and a six-banger, too. Beyond the chase, the inserts and color parallels here are nice. Get a look at a typical box and all that was inside right here.

ONE TO RIP IN VOLUME ... OR STASH
2021 Topps Heritage High Number baseball cards
Who's hot and who's not ebbs and flows with time on the field but some brands are popular year-in and year-out no matter what and I'd argue that Heritage is one of those ... though the 1970s might not have as much appeal as the decades that came before them or after them. But that's where we are right now and where this one is -- a 1972 re-do. These blasters are almost as low as it gets as this one is, admittedly, not as popular as others but it's one deep with Rookie Cards and there is always a longshot chance at autographs and other rarities here -- the odds are not that far off from hobby with a number of the same things in there. My first blaster I opened wowed me back then but that simple Chrome card isn't as strong now ... but just as players can drop they can rise. When a blaster can include 26 RCs that shows how a small set can still have some safety in numbers. There are plenty of quirky things that can be found here, too. If you rip in volume it helps. With a case price that low (and the box volume that big) this one is tempting to either rip or just stash for a few years as boxes available dry up over time. You never know.

WORTH THE LOOK ... NOW
2021 Upper Deck AEW wrestling cards
This one arrived pretty deep into AEW's successful run as WWE's main competitor, so delays meant it didn't have a lot of first-time names that could have made it a tremendous card monster ... but what is in there has highlight moments for sure. The bigger drawback, though? You won't land ink in every box. You may not even land memorabilia. But now the price is a lot lower than it had been so the misses won't be as rough. There are tons of parallels and tons of inserts here giving us the first in-pack cards of a lot of popular names and a lot of new cards for established global names, too. Printing plate autos, dual-autos and more can be in store. Since the ink doesn't flow as heavily the secondary market asking prices can be steep -- here's one place to look -- but at even a slice of those prices a sale will cover the rip. It's just a matter of being lucky.

A LOADED RELEASE ...
2015 Panini Stars and Stripes baseball cards
Don't tell the boss but I'm cheating to get this one in here ... it's a Wave 1 box. The USA box in this wave (also at that link above) isn't bad ... it's just that this one is way better and I didn't mention it last time. You get four hits here every time -- and I want to say I landed boxes in the past with more at times -- and then a bunch of inserts. Among the mem cards? Stuff like bat knobs, bat barrels, jersey letters, flag patches, laundry tags, buttons and jumbos ... though some rarer than others. The key here, though, is who. Players on the checklist with MLB experience include Kris Bryant, Jack Flaherty, Dansby Swanson, Ke'Bryan Hayes, Trea Turner, Alex Bregman, Hunter Greene, Matt Olson, Corey Seager, Matt Chapman, Michael Conforto and others. Ink for a good name is possible here and deluxe cards are, too.

There's plenty more among the Black November sale items in the first wave -- check 'em out here -- and we'll have several more to come leading up to Black Friday.
