Black November arrives … here are five new deals to grab

If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as Blowout Cards' Black November sales have arrived this year.

The latest waves are here and many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

CHASING AARON JUDGE INK ...
2014 Bowman Inception MLB
First, I'll mention with my picks here that I do my shopping mostly on the traditional low-end to the mid-range stuff in the not-so-distant past -- so a box like this might be closer to my high-end of things when it comes to risk factor ... but a rough box here will still give you nothing but autographs. The biggest names her? Aaron Judge, Byron Buxton, Julio Urias, Kris Bryant, Xander Bogearts, Carlos Correa, Noah Syndergaard, Jose Abreu, Nick Castellanos, George Springer and many others who are still around the bigs (and some who are definitely not). There are a lot of parallels in play here, too, with some other stuff like printing plates, dual-auto cards, patch autos and even booklets. But if you land Aaron Judge he pays for the box ... and maybe more if it's a rarer version. Every box includes five cards -- five shots at him and other names here ... and they weren't short-printed signers back then, either.

BOLDLY GO THERE ...
Star Trek: The Next Generation Archives & Inscriptions
While there are varying generations of Trek at this point, the reboot of the franchise on television in the 1990s was one that helped spawn a lot of what we have seen since on both the small screen and in film. This one includes four autographs in every box and two of those are ones that have added inscriptions along with ink that make them even better. A number of notables from the cast are on those cards -- Data, Tasha Year, William Riker, Deanna Troi, Q, Beverly Crusher ... all in there. And there's Olivia d'Abo, Christopher McDonald (Shooter McGavin in a different realm) and Ashley Judd ink, though I'm not sure their character names here may not be as memorable. Ink isn't the only chase here -- there are also some impressive sketch cards in cases -- as well as a number of inserts and chase elements atop a somewhat-unusual base set format, too. A lot of non-sports releases can be jammed with ink for lesser characters but I think this one perhaps has a lot more recognizable names to be found here. I may dabble here soon.

GET IN THE RING ...
2022 Panini WWE NXT wrestling cards
I've only opened two of these but each of my boxes included a rare Gold auto -- one on the memorabilia front for a young star and one for a past NXT notable who will be a Hall of Famer. That won't be the case every time -- but you do get one auto and one memorabilia card each time along with a handful of parallels, a good volume of inserts and then pretty much a base set in every box. (Or, very close to it with a number of extras.) This one is a very traditional kind of cardboard set and it's one that is jam-packed with Rookie Cards as NXT is the WWE's lowest level but it's also one that has essentially built its current ranks of younger stars and they are almost all revisited here, too, on base, inserts and even ink. This is one where I want to bust by the case as a collector. There are rip-and-flip kinds of cards here but these are not like Prizm or Select ... but it's also a box with assured inclusions that's a lot cheaper. There are also a lot of first-time autos or early sigs to go with all those RCs, too.

A SLEEPER PICK? MAYBE ...
2015 Topps Heritage '51 Collection Baseball
What is this? These are a small boxed set of cards that are a nod to the 1951 Topps set -- a new take on that older gaming approach for cards -- and it's one that is packed with names. The set is 104 cards and then each box includes 21 parallels and one autograph. (And I remember opening one box back in the day that actually had two auto cards ... though one was a redemption.) In the base set? Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Kris Bryant (RC), Joc Pederson (RC), Albert Pujols, Noah Syndergaard (RC), Carlos Correa (RC), Byron Buxton (RC), and Francisco Lindor (RC). Parallels are all in play there in several tiered colors. Among the autos? Bryce Harper, Buxton, Buster Posey, Correa, Clayton Kershaw, David Wright, Lindor, Jose Abreu, Pederson, Bryant, Trout, Syndergaard and others ... with parallels there, too. It's not pricey and there are smaller names who will pop up as the ink but the big names are there. I like this one in terms of safety (set), chase (parallels) and big potential (ink).

KEEPING IT SIMPLE ...
2022 TRISTAR Hidden Treasures Autographed Baseball Photos 
One autographed photo per box here with past and present players possible ... simple enough. Want a chase? Imagine landing the big chase here -- a Shohei Ohtani signed ball or a Tom Seaver signed Leroy Neiman print ... for that price. Not every box will be a big win of course -- no box from anywhere is -- but this one is simple and that can deliver simply interesting results, too. Hall of Famers are found four times per case here, too.
