Black November arrives … here are five Wave 3 deals to grab

If you hadn't noticed, there are a number of boxes with discounted prices right now right here as Blowout Cards' Black November sales have arrived this year.

The third wave is here and many of the discounts were dramatic enough that Buzz once again had to ponder the possibilities in many of the boxes and cases -- and here are five that caught this collector’s eye ... and there's far more that just might suit your tastes in the big sale.

PLAYING IT SAFE ... WHILE ROLLING THE DICE
2017 Bowman Chrome Mini baseball card set (It's not just a set.)
You yet plenty of notables here in a set of 273 cards loaded with rookies and prospects from a few full-size series that year and then you get three 10-card Refractor packs that have all kinds of potential inside -- including Superfractors and mini printing plates -- for all players here. Among them? Rookie Cards or prospect cards for Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger, Dansby Swanson, Alex Bregman, Ronald Acuña Jr., Bo Bichette, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Gleyber Torres, Rafael Devers and plenty more. The prices here aren't as big as the regular stuff, but I think these are a better buy, though there's not ink in play. The parallels can be powerful but if you somehow strike out there the base cards are nice. I'd also suspect that they aren't as heavily graded as the regular stuff for some guys, too.

SAFETY IN NUMBERS ... WITH BIGS VERY POSSIBLE
2020 Leaf Metal All-American Bowl football cards (jumbo box) 
These boxes include nothing but hits -- and there are 12 per box here -- with a mix of chrome-stock and auto-mem cards as well as standard stuff for some of the biggest prep names in the country on their first cards. Now, the NIL landscape has changed things here but autographs from reigning Heisman winner Bryce Young and potential future winner C.J. Stroud are in there along with many others who are still playing in the college ranks and could be playing on Sundays like those two guys. Every auto here is also limited to no more than 20 copies. When you find a big-name card here, it'll pay for the box and more ... and that's even better when they're on sale.

COLORFUL POTENTIAL
2013 Panini Select baseball cards (boxes and cases)
These hobby boxes aren't Prizm but they're not that far off -- and you get a little color, more Silver and four autos per box here with some inserts that are rarer finds even when not color possible and Rookie Cards from a deep crop that are also a bit more short-printed than the norm. Check out these highlights on eBay for color and inserts. It's an impressive one, though they aren't super-easy finds in every box, of course. But they could always be in there. Here's what I found in a past Buzz Break -- and, yes, I landed gold. Even the basic Mike Trout card here is popular -- color even more -- and I landed him on a base card. This one can be stingy ... but it can deliver well, too.

LEGENDARY POTENTIAL
2007 Upper Deck SP Legendary Cuts baseball cards (boxes and cases)
Each case of this one includes two cut autos and that's where the legends come in -- the deep list includes names like Babe Ruth (a 1/1 probably pulled long ago if I had to bet), Joe DiMaggio (/52), Connie Mack (/6), Bill Veeck (/47), Cy Young (1/1), Harry Caray (/10), Honus Wagner (/2), Jimmie Foxx (/4), Jackie Robinson (/5), Lou Gehrig (/2), Roberto Clemente (/3), Satchel Paige (/15), Ty Cobb (/2) and so on across a few types of cut sets. There are also even quad-auto cuts with massive names attached. Each box includes one numbered autograph or memorabilia card if you miss on a cut and there are also some film-reel mem cards to be found, too. All boxes I opened in the past included two and sometimes three hits -- here's one past Buzz Break. They aren't as cheap as they used to be but this is the kind of release that gradually vanishes in unopened form as more and more people discover that old releases can still deliver. If you can swing it, the case is the way to go.

ONE TO RIP IN VOLUME ... OR STASH
2021 Topps Heritage High Number baseball cards
Just like what I said last time with dirt-cheap blasters ... it applies here, too, with hobby boxes that guarantee a hit every time and likely more in every box atop more volume. ... Who's hot and who's not ebbs and flows with time on the field but some brands are popular year-in and year-out no matter what and I'd argue that Heritage is one of those ... though the 1970s might not have as much appeal as the decades that came before them or after them. But that's where we are right now and where this one is -- a 1972 re-do. ... These hobby boxes are almost as low as it gets as this one is, admittedly, not as popular as others but it's one deep with Rookie Cards and there is always a longshot chance at autographs and other rarities here. There are plenty of quirky things that can be found here, too. If you rip in volume it helps, though I did pretty well with my last solo box Buzz Break of this one.
