What's Buzz-worthy: This one's a little confusing but the biggest thing to know here is this -- one autograph per box. The checklist of what's in this one -- at least what was supposed to be in this one -- is on the bottom of the box, but there's more than just that inside these based on this rip. Base cards were from throughout the 250-card set and the three heavily found but obviously tiered parallels echoed that approach. There were a number of eventual MLB players in this officially licensed MiLB product but there are also still plenty of prospects who didn't pan out. The autographs here pretty much include some of the biggest names possible with two of the "out of print" autographs being notable names, established All-Star C.C. Sabathia and Mike Darr, a guy who made The Show with the Padres but died in an auto accident during spring training. (This is one of only six certified autographs for him.) The Barry Zito card is the biggest among the autographs specific to this product, while Giles, Myers, Ginter Rivera, Bergeron Cooper and Miller all also were MLB guys. So, in other words, only two guys whose autos were here didn't make it to MLB -- so that's not an awful box. If you can find one of these on the cheap -- this was less than $1 a pack even with the autographs inside -- it's a n0-brainer. I wouldn't pay more than, say, a blaster box or a little more for one of these boxes because you can find key singles relatively cheap with some looking (even for the top autos) and not all boxes will deliver as well as this one did. But this is a fun example of how autographs used to flow very well without breaking the bank back in the mid-1990s and beyond. Those were fun.
