What's Buzz-worthy: This one is a go-to for me and I didn't pick this up to post here, but two autographs prompted me to revisit it -- Stan Lee and Penny Marshall. I still need to land Lee and didn't land either in a couple boxes of this one, but with the pulling of the O'Neal card I figured this box was worthy. Her card is one of the top Bad News Bears autos in this one and she was the last one that I hadn't pulled from a box -- yes, I've ripped that much. ... As said before, the base set is loaded with "some of the nation's greatest athletes, entertainers and newsmakers from the Golden Age of America" and it's one that really showcases the retro possibilities in its inserts and autograph/memorabilia potential. There are minis and there are Exhibit box-toppers that couldn't be more different and then there are nods to food issue sets, historic moments and pop culture. There is plenty more to be found if you explore this product. The year before this one isn't bad and the year after is a tad weaker, but they're also ones to consider given their affordable box prices.
