What's Buzz-worthy: It's been four years since Series 3 and that one surprised when I busted it, so I said to myself "Why not?" on this one when the price was right. This themed product has been a smartly produced one in the past with its insert names, photos, memorabilia inclusions and more all tying into the theme. This time, it included 10 cards (17 last time ... at least in the box I opened) and the inclusions here were similar but there are some manufactured relics in the mix -- a gems card and a flag card -- and then the six autographs or memorabilia cards. The biggest mainstream names here are, I guess, a pair of former WWE stars and reality TV personalities. I've seen some better mixes names-wise, but the cards are generally pretty rare here as everything numbered is no more than 25 -- the base set -- and all but one of them is limited to no more than five copies. (I'm not sure I've ever opened a box with so many low-volume cards.) Some of the bigger names in the base set here include Sara Underwood, Ciara Price, April Scott, Claudia Jordan, Katie Lohmann and Jennifer Walcott though this one doesn't seem to be as varied as releases from the past. The base set's design is solid with some super-premium stock, which starts things off rather impressively. The manufactured relics add some chase and variety, though I don't personally like those types of cards as much as autographs and memorabilia. But ... if you land the right name you might pay for a hefty chunk of a box with those gems and flags as those who are collecting these personalities or sets are clearly picking them off. Would I dig in on more? If the price drops, sure, but I might dabble with some of the past releases if the price is right. (The previous one delivered a lot more for about the same money.)
