Framed Allen & Ginter X autographs (1) – Ozzie Albies (/22)

What's Buzz-worthy: Allen & Ginter X is a reversed-out black version of the popular set that was initially sold only via Topps.com -- a line that arrived with the 1oth anniversary year of the brand and has continued in the years since then. This box wasn't as crazy as my first, but it was still pretty strong with an Albies auto (though not the greatest silver Sharpie auto) and a no-number mini that's one in every 125 packs as well as key rookie appearances. (It's a win for me as I hadn't yet landed an Albies.) At their original price, these boxes are a no-brainer as the autographs are nearly all limited to just 25 copies per signer in this one and they're delivering at least one auto per box -- and sometimes more. You don't get all of the inclusions you'll find in standard Ginter -- no Rip Cards, weird Relics and a number of other inserts -- but this one delivered very well. The only drawbacks in this box? The mix of the standard minis wasn't the greatest and some cards showed corner dings a little too well with the black border -- but the autograph simply made the box for me in my second pack.
