Buzz 12 in 12: Busting a 1989 Upper Deck High Number pack (Hour 2)

What's Buzz-worthy: This one is a landmark release, but it's one that's really never been very good to Buzz when doing single packs here for 12 in 12 -- and for the second time an 1989 Upper Deck pack has shorted me cards. This is an iconic brand in many ways — printing, packaging, Rookie Cards, design — but this pack was not good, though it did include one Hall of Famer in Andre Dawson. The two High Number cards here were brutal -- Ron Kittle and Jamie Moyer -- but I opted for the Highs once again because there are some memorable cards to be found there (Jim Abbott, Nolan Ryan with a football, Omar Vizquel, Jerome Walton) along with a shot at a Ken Griffey Jr. Rookie Card and others who were in the first 700. (Griffey can be pulled here in the Highs -- I've done it buying by the box.) Just grab a graded Griffey and pick off some singles over on COMC.com and you should be fine here -- but this classic is worth an occasional pack rip just for fun as long as packs aren't too expensive.
