What's Buzz-worthy: This is just one of a few Elvis options from Press Pass and it's one that has delivered very well for this ripper twice with these retail boxes. Years ago, a sealed box at a big chain store seemed like an interesting mystery. It yielded a memorabilia card and a printing plate -- but that was at full price. Now, these boxes are in the big Blowout April Showers sale for a fraction of their original cost and they can still deliver. This one included an autograph of a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, James Burton, who was Presley's guitar player and worked with plenty of other notables. (He was presented at the event by Keith Richards.) This was his first autographed card -- but he's signed quite a bit for releases to come after this one. Autographs from a few sets combine to be found one in 96 packs here, while memorabilia cards are one in 84. ... The base set here is subset-heavy with a dramatically different look for each card, which adds to the variety of ripping here, helping tell Presley's story from several directions. The inserts here are a little flat -- foilboard montages with quotes and images -- but the total experience here isn't a bad one. For the price, you have a pretty good shot at some type of autograph or memorabilia card and a case break could deliver pretty well on both fronts. There also is an outside shot at finding an Elvis cut autograph -- it's on the odds -- so maybe one of those cases or boxes left contains the big one. You never know.
