What's Buzz-worthy: It's been a while since I ripped into one of these and a lot has changed since then -- mostly that Patrick Mahomes guy (you might have heard of that rookie) -- but tearing into this box was a reminder as to why I did like this brand a lot in 2016 and 2017. It's one that's loaded with legends, includes a ton of rookies in college uniforms, has a decent (but not guaranteed) chance at ink and has some solid retro feels that are solidly made with a solid mix of players and moments all in one bargain-minded place. I landed this one at original price and was rewarded with ink (albeit on a poorly signed sticker) and then two numbered inserts as well as a pretty solid rookie run but without Mahomes. (He would pay for a box or two on just his standard RC had I landed him.) The overall feel of this box is still an A to me -- and hobby boxes (hit that link above) can guarantee you hits and plenty more of what you see here. My B+ grade you see below is from when this one originally arrived -- it wasn't as good as 2016 in my mind then -- but this is a brand that has aged well because it's simple. I don't even mind the gloss as much now compared to what we've seen since for this brand. ... The model of 100 active, 100 retired and 100 rookies (the rookies are definitely shorter than the other two groups) really works here. The values aren't big-money on most RCs (again, college uniforms) but this one is a very solid product for a collector who likes many aspects of the game on their cardboard.
