What's Buzz-worthy: I decided to mix things up a bit and grabbed a lot of box-toppers for this popular release because if there's one right-out-there rarity in waiting right now in my mind it just might be Heritage ad panels with key Rookie Cards on the fronts. This set's biggie is a panel with Ronald Acuña Jr. on the front and another might be the Gleyber Torres panel, while the backs for this series emulate a past Bazooka approach and they have players showcased. Among those on backs? Shohei Ohtani. These panels are hobby box-toppers but they're not found in every single box so they might be a tad rarer than you might think. The packaging this year uses a little darker plastic (past years can be see-through) so doing pack lots like this can be rewarding with some luck. (I wouldn't always expect big results in the past.) These panels were made for more than a decade and there's some mystery as to who has panels and who doesn't. You can find Hall of Famers, big-name stars, rookies and more in these panels in past years and because of their size they can be annoying to store so people let them go on the cheap. (These? About $2 a pack.) If I could rewind the clock to a few Heritage releases, I'd chase down these when they were being sold in lots and on the cheaper side. These days, finding them can't be that easy at times and, ironically, this year they don't exist at all. They've been replaced by the impressive Supers.
