What's Buzz-worthy: A box of this one presented itself to me at a solid price -- hit that link above -- so I figured I'd revisit 1969 Topps once again. This one delivered pretty well with a couple of rarer inserts as well as a good run of decent names among inserts and base but nothing A-caliber within a definite A-caliber release. It wasn't a top-tier box on the Rookie Card front, but they won't all have key RCs or big ink every time. The Black parallels are limited to only 50 copies and are one in every 52 packs -- I'm not sure I pulled any before -- and I pulled a Chrome Refractor of a fan favorite that's one in 61 packs. My action shot was of a good name but that was about 37 teams ago, so it doesn't have the same appeal as it did back when this one arrived. Overall, though, I like 1969 far more than 1970 and that's why we're here -- I just had hopes for some bigger stuff. They're still in there despite there being a new year on the calendar -- and you might have more fun with this one as the stars aren't heavily jammed into the short-printed portion of the checklist.
