What's Buzz-worthy: The absolute first time I ripped into a box of these, I landed a dream-scenario kind of card -- a rare Tua Tagovailoa auto just days after he arrived on the national stage with a national championship in hand. This time around, there's another Tagovailoa to chase -- his little brother, Taulia -- who is in this one ... but I didn't get a Tagovailoa this time. This card set for the high-school All-Star game is loaded with guys who are playing elsewhere on Saturdays and this release seems dramatically improved over past releases with better photos, crisp designs and colorful uniform swatches, too. Its format is about the same -- nothing but top-loaded hits in a box -- but there is still potential to be found here both in the short-term and later. (There are jumbo boxes this year, too, in case you want more -- and some inclusions are only found in certain formats.) The card backs here are somewhat basic but the basic Tour autos tell you where the player is from and then the later-produced Metal cards note where players have committed to. I landed a 1/1 Adidas Metal card -- apparently all colors of those are 1/1 cards -- in this box as a highlight, but I'll admit I didn't recognize any of the names this time. I did land a couple cards that are on the rarer side here to help that out. If you can find these boxes on the cheaper side of the prices out there, they're worth a look because those new Tagovailoa cards alone can pay for a box or two if you land one -- and that's before he's even had any kind of substantial playing time.
