What's Buzz-worthy: Two cards -- and perhaps only two cards -- take this box from average to legendary and it's pair of super-rare Rookie Card parallels that make this the best box of Topps Chrome I've ever opened. The two rarest cards come with two of the top rookies in MLB this year -- a one-in-255-pack Orange Refractor for Vladdy Jr. and a one-in-525 Fernando Tatis Jr. -- the craziest part is that they happened to land in a box together. With only 288 packs in a case, you should expect one of these colors to be found one per case and ther other in a second one ... but, again, not together -- and then two top rookies together. The rest of the box? Not that great, actually, by this release's standards as it's a set that has variations, ink for these notable rookies (and plenty of parallels there) as well as plenty of RCs. The only regular RCs of note in this box are arguably Jimenez and McNeil, while the insert lineup had a few names of note but nothing in the galaxy of the two color parallels. The hobby boxes are definitely the way to go here with the better volume and inclusions than even Mega Boxes -- those don't guarantee anything hits-wise. Both of the hobby boxes I've busted of this one delivered big -- very big -- and the jumbo format gives you plenty if you want ink. Check out the link above for more options.
