What's Buzz-worthy: These jumbo retail boxes deliver a little more volume and still have potential for the good stuff, though they don't make an appearance in every box -- some will have none, some will have a few. It had been a while since I ripped one of these -- my last had a Brandon Nimmo auto -- but this box was back to near-average results except one insert that seriously bucked the odds. That Altuve card is one in 1,135 packs though that tougher status doesn't help his value all that much. You get a good volume of rookies in these boxes -- and keep in ming that the mystery auto A here is Vladdy -- but there just wasn't a lot going on in this one -- even in the Purple parallels beyond a name or two. For the money, hobby boxes are the way to go because of the guaranteed ink and other potential with the odds, though I might go this direction if needing to finish off a set and prefer to pull stuff than pick off singles.
