What's Buzz-worthy: Don't let the box price fool you -- if you like baseball cards this is one of the best releases of the year to rip into, enjoy and collect. It's fully modern with some retro touches on both the checklist of players and its inserts and styles and it's one that includes a number of rarer standard cards that don't have serial-numbering. The autographs that are guaranteed two per box here are on-card and there are some big names to be found (albeit rarer in volume in some instances) but a meaty 16-box case should carry some solid highlights. Some might scoff at non-traditional photography seen on some cards here but avoiding formulaic images is something that could give more energy to other sets from all companies though the season. Big rookies such as Fernando Tatis Jr. and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. are found here on base cards and that helps give some extra energy and longer-term interest here -- Topps Update RCs aren't the only ones with long-term potential -- and this one has a high-gloss high-end feel without a high-end price. I just wish the base set here was larger or that there was some type of later-season follow-up series for this one. You just might see more of this one ripped here this summer.
