Autographs/Memorabilia: Not for a few years

What's Buzz-worthy: When's the last time you saw Pete Rose on the front of a pack? This might be it as this 1986 test release from Topps (and also from O-Pee-Chee) shows him just a few years before he was permanently banned from MLB and its officially licensed cardboard. These paper panels are very colorful and printed backwards (shown that way and flipped below) so they could be applied with water and look right side up. (I wouldn't recommend using them as there have been issues with applied tattoos in the past -- no idea if that applies here.) These aren't in big demand at all, but I've only seen them in the wild a handful of times through the years in some relatively obscure repacks from the late 1980s. With some basic eBay searches you can find a set for less than $10, while packs are also out there and not expensive. Ironically, some of these can have high-dollar price tags attached when single panels of notable players have been graded. Is anybody biting? Surprisingly, yes, though that one seems to be an anomaly. This one is an offball probably best left in the past, though those PSA grades make it more interesting than I had expected.
