What's Buzz-worthy: Yep, one more quick and cheap pack break for a #TBT post ... why? Would you want to open a box of this stuff? (That's why it's just some packs this time.) Ultimately, there's just not much here other than some stars in subset cards and I this one just wasn't as exciting as its Pro Set, Fleer and other companions at that time. Heck, at least those had insert cards -- these don't. ... The first Score set in 1989 was one of a few newcomers to the NFL ranks that helped usher in a new feel of football cards and a flood of even more companies on the gridiron -- and this second series of the second release from Score included some interesting touches you can see here in the subsets and rookies in college uniforms ... but it just wasn't as clean as the first one. One thing here ... there are Rookie Cards of players who were veterans but hadn't had cards before ... no RC logos needed, though, as the same definition of today was in play back then. ... I recently grabbed a mystery box of old football packs with some simple, Throwback Thursday-style retro Buzz Breaks of single packs in mind but it turned out to be a box of several packs from about five products in just a couple of years -- my prime NFL years, really, back in the day, but, overall, the box was a fail. Not much going on here -- and the wrappers that were baggies really protected nothing and these show it. Not much more to say here other than newer stuff is better.
Product Grade: B- (probably would grade better back then)
Lot Grade: B- (subsets win here ... not much else did)
Fun Grade: C-
