What's Buzz-worthy: Not all card sets age gracefully -- especially considering the changes to the card world since this debut edition arrived but this one is among the better-looking releases of the year. It was a good year, too, but this small selection shows how older boxes or packs can be underwhelming. Then again, these four packs did land one of the biggest rookies of back then, Todd Marinovich, and, well, he's a common in a lot of minds now. Now, what's in here? The astronomically rare find is one of 2,500 Joe Montana Football Heroes autographs. A more realistic find would be the inserts from that set or one of six still-impressive Game Breakers holograms ... none here this time, though. ... This dud is OK -- I didn't fork over any substantial dollar amount here for this one -- I recently grabbed a mystery box of old football packs with some simple, Throwback Thursday-style retro Buzz Breaks of single packs in mind but it turned out to be a box of several packs from about five products in just a couple of years -- my prime NFL years, really, back in the day, but, overall, the box was a fail. ... Who's in this? A Rookie Card for Brett Favre and then strong visual cards for a number of players with Hall of Famers like Joe Montana and Barry Sanders among fun but super-cheap finds. I'll offer more thoughts here if I ever rip any.

Product Grade: B+ (it's simple but strong photography holds up)
