What's Buzz-worthy: For #TBT this week, I'll go with a throwback that feels modern yet is more than 30 years old (!) and loaded with Hall of Famers and past stars. I found this for $9.99 sealed and bit with an idea of perhaps grading -- and might do a couple, though the stock here is a little sticky ... but not to the point of bricking or damage. (Some holograms also have issues often ... so may not be all that grading friendly.) A total of 216,000 sets were made and a numbered certificate is inside every set here -- this one had a pretty low number -- and the look of that cert might make for a fun gimmick slab if yours is cleaner than mine or has a meaningful plateau or Griffey number. I picked off my player here back when these arrived -- it's a set with each team's top pitcher and its top hitter based on their picks at the time while the two checklists that start things off below are the reigning league MVPs. All in all, there's a lot to like here, though this one is simple with no chases ... I like it but I wouldn't over-pay for it.
