What's Buzz-worthy: Why is this one here? Well, I picked up a couple of these packs for the pre-Super Bowl #Buzz8in8 breaks marathon set for Jan. 31 -- the last Friday before the Super Bowl -- but since the key Rookie Card here, Aaron Rodgers, is nowhere to be found in the game (or in these packs), it was punted from that lineup. I ripped a lot of this one back in the day and looking back I'm not sure why other than the design is crisp and clean and it includes a number of throwback inclusions that perhaps helped it stand out from the pack. Rodgers was nowhere to be found here but I think I landed some of the other key RCs in this one, though none of them come close to Rodgers value-wise. These racks are in three small packs within the packs (I folded them above to show them) so the cards don't slide around so they can't be searched like oldschool rack packs -- and autographs can be found here at long odds. This quick break was a dry one but ultimately this is only about Aaron Rodgers or a super-slim chance at ink. Each rack includes three past "vintage" cards -- something that may have also drawn me back in back in the day ... but 1990 Topps just didn't work this time. Hobby boxes of this one might be worth a look if on the cheaper side, but the Rodgers card might affect that. (Spoiler: they aren't cheap.)
