What's Buzz-worthy: Why rip into this one? Well, a few reasons ... it was a lot cheaper than most (if not all) hobby boxes for present-day MLB or NFL stuff and has perhaps better potential if all were to deliver average results, older BW boxes tend to have better autograph checklists with more mainstream names than later years and then because this particular release has a chance (albeit slim at one in 125 boxes) at a Bettie Page autograph and that past iconic model has become a pricier autograph in general, especially when not on a simple cut sig. This box, of course, didn't include that but I figured I'd try. This one did include an extra auto vs. the basic box (the School Girls autos are every other box) and then the rest was relatively standard but with some better names on the autos. The base set here has a stronger design than a lot of the sets that came before it but the roster of names isn't the deepest and for whatever reason, the cards that look like inserts are actually numbered like they are part of the checklist for the main set and are short-prints. (I don't think they are  for later editions.) I probably wouldn't rip into another of these unless the price was too low to ignore with those long odds on Page there could be some big wins here. I actually have come to prefer the hits-only editions for these cards in recent years because ultimately most of the value comes with the rarer stuff, inserts and hits -- though the auto prices can be pretty soft out there since so many names have so many different options. I've ripped into this brand's boxes more lately simply due to price and to add some variety to the stash.
