What's Buzz-worthy: Sportkings arrived on the scene as a high-end brand nearly a decade ago with stars from throughout all of the sports world on the design from the distant past, giving collectors a unique way to collect the non-traditional sports with some of the big typical names included, too. Fast forward to 2012 for this release and it's a box with a single hit inside -- something more in Buzz's budget to try as a box instead of picking off singles as this collector had done for years. Simply put, though, this box really wasn't what I expected. It was a bummer. It had just one truly non-traditional name (bodybuilding icon Charles Atlas) who's not found on the typical cardboard. (Horse racing is actually pretty common.) Atop that, the lone hit was baseball -- but worse, it was a card with an undersized and crooked cut with the bottom of the card off quite a bit. It wasn't as painful as it could have been since the price here was cheap, but it just wasn't as fun or varied of a break as I had expected. ... These boxes have roughly a one in 10 box shot at a 1/1 of some sort with some strong possibilities on the autograph, memorabilia and art-card front. ... They just weren't found anywhere near this one.
