What's Buzz-worthy: I normally talk about buying boxes in pairs -- and this is one where, dang it, I need to follow my own advice because this one was pretty strong ... and now I'm wondering what the others had in play. Why? This set seemingly over-delivered with four cards on the rarer side of things (/35 or lower) -- one of them an eight-year pro in Japan -- and then a Michael Conforto auto to top things off. The Select cards also delivered better than others I have opened with two guys who have worn MLB unis. (My last box of this one had Andrew Vaughn and Jack Flaherty ink -- a solid duo to land but didn't have as much rare stuff ... in fact, just one card /35 last time.) ... Here are some other thoughts on these boxes I mentioned last time. ... Want a bargain-priced break with some up-side and the possibility of some deluxe patch cards and autos from young major-leaguers? You might take a look at USA Baseball stuff. The base set and inserts are the same every time except for the Select Prizms and then you get the same volume of hits but with cards from all three squads seen in the breakdown above. All notables you see in the gallery have autos and mem possible here and there's safety in numbers so even if you don't get a great box it's still a decent rip for a collector ... and it can deliver big, too. With a new season here, I'm on a bit of a USA Baseball kick so you'll probably see some more of these here and there in the coming weeks.

Fun Grade: B+ (it's a set with some hits ... so it's a fast rip)
