What's Buzz-worthy: This one isn't quite as hot as the standard Prizm from this year -- which you can find here -- but at the time of arrival this one was a higher-end brand with four autos per box. It's not quite as popular -- it's not Prizm -- but it's all on Optichrome (Prizm) stock. It uses a mini-box format that may or may not include two autos per -- one of my minis oddly had three and the other had just one -- and was a much-pricier box back then. Why am I ripping here? Basically to tell you to go check Mike Trout Prizm cards on eBay, Especially slabs, and then to ponder whether Select might not be far behind. Why else might one rip into these? Well, the Rookie Cards are SPs here and there are more than 120 of them with them dropping only a couple times per master box between unsigned and signed cards and there are some decent names in the mix ... and parallels. Among them? Yasiel Puig, Nolan Arenado, Christian Yelich, Corey Kluber, Didi Gregorius, Manny Machado, Jose Fernandez, Gerrit Cole and Anthony Rendon. It's a deep list otherwise, though, so the high-end format makes any particular name a tougher find. I landed a couple of rarer cards here but probably not anything that breaks the bank, but I also found a decent amount of variety and some good names, though I think this is a box that could be topped easily. If you land one of those key names in color or Silver, you could do well. (That Bo Jackson is a $25 sale on eBay if it slabs as a BGS 9.5.) These boxes are find-able on the cheaper side than some boxes out there, so they are worth considering -- given the high-end format's limitations on coughing up rookies and ink, you might also chase singles if the prices are right, too. This wasn't the greatest box of this one ... it simply shows you some of the potential.
