What's Buzz-worthy: Your intrepid ripper picked up one of these lots when it was recently slashed to half the price it is now to see if I could find some simple character subset cards (or their parallels) for a grading submission since they were so cheap. I destroyed the retail odds (one in 96 for combined ink and memorabilia cards) by pulling a pair of autos that came late into my break. That was a nice surprise -- and it shows that they can be found -- meanwhile hobby boxes had ink one in 12 packs and those boxes are long, long gone because of the strength of the cast in this one -- and the signers. ... As said in a past break, the first four seasons of this hit TV series are documented here in a 90-card base set that's made up of episode cards, character cards and website cards. There are autographs and memorabilia cards to be found and the checklist is absolutely stacked with some stars who have emerged as A-listers in the time since if they weren't there already. The auto checklist includes Amy Poehler, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Fred Armisen, Nick Offerman, Parker Posey, Paul Rudd and Rob Lowe among others, while the memorabilia cards include Adam Scott, Poehler, Plaza, Chris Pratt, Ansari, Offerman and Lowe. There are also double- and triple-piece memorabilia cards to be found as well as ink-color variations and inscriptions among the autos. The only other inserts here are the foilboard parallels, which are found in every pack to help things out. The base cards include a design that uses a number of images from episodes on both the front and back, while the character cards do a good job of spotlighting the actors. This is not a flashy break but if you want to build a set and take the shot at something, it's worth a look. With some luck you might land an auto that's of a much-bigger name than those I found.
