What's Buzz-worthy: The first four seasons of this hit TV series are documented here in a 90-card base set that's made up of episode cards, character cards and website cards. There are autographs and memorabilia cards to be found in these boxes (a combined one in 96 packs at retail with two autos per 24-pack hobby box and one memorabilia card per hobby) and the checklist is absolutely stacked with stars who have emerged as A-listers in the time since if they weren't there already. The auto checklist includes Amy Poehler, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Fred Armisen, Nick Offerman, Parker Posey, Paul Rudd and Rob Lowe among others, while the memorabilia cards include Adam Scott, Poehler, Plaza, Chris Pratt, Ansari, Offerman and Lowe. There are also double- and triple-piece memorabilia cards to be found as well as ink-color variations and inscriptions among the autos. None of those extras were found here -- they're roughly one in six boxes at retail -- but I took the shot since hobby boxes of this one are long, long gone. One thing I didn't notice before buying was that these boxes include just 16 packs (I had figured 24) so with that I'd probably lean toward a re-do to take on the 100-pack bulk retail lot at the link to help my odds instead of the contained unit of 16. The only other inserts here are the foilboard parallels, which are found in every pack to help things out. The base cards include a design that uses a number of images from episodes on both the front and back, while the character cards do a good job of spotlighting the actors. (Part of me wants to dabble with grading on some of those for fun, trivial reasons.) This box wasn't that flashy -- it delivered as it should have statistically -- so it gets an average grade but it's a solid release. If you want to build a set and take the shot at something, check out the bulk lot or a box -- and grab a hobby box and run if you can find it at all.
