What's Buzz-worthy: Buzz found this one in a Walmart bargain bin for the price of a discounted blaster box, and it was a reminder of the recent past that we no longer have -- Topps in the NFL card game and the days when there were so many rookies billed as can't-miss ... and they did just that. This was a strong box based on the odds -- that auto was one in 900 packs (one in 57 boxes) with the stinger being that it was expired. The parallels over-delivered as the Camo and Pink are box one in 40 packs. The parallels of big names (and some rookies ... even if busts) are the key here in my mind beyond the hits, though the base set has some strong photography and there are photo variations at odds higher than one in 10 boxes here. ... It wasn't a bad rip in terms of fun, but also wasn't very flashy with the rookies being a bit flat in general this year. The inserts can pretty funny here looking back with their lofty expectations noted -- remember these are from just six years ago -- and some of chose future legends are no longer in the league. The design, however, isn't bad. If you need a cheaper rip with some fun potential check out packs of this one if you can find them -- complete sets are worth a look, too, at the link above as there are some solid simple cards in this one.
