What's Buzz-worthy: This is another box I picked this one up in our recent 10-percent off flash sale since the discount got it a little more into my price comfort zone ... and it appears I was one of the last to do so as it looks like they are sold out at the moment. Why? Well, this is a release that was made to sell at the National Sports Collectors Convention and it's one that includes a number of newcomers ("rookies" here) that I didn't land as well as a number of premium-style cards in a mostly hits format. This box, like most, included more than it typically would but with those extra cards came no numbered basic autos -- odds but perhaps that's the routine when other types of cards popped up. (I don't know ... I watched just a couple of break videos before picking this.) The prop card was right on top of the tray so that was a strong start but the rest of the stuff here was pretty standard if not a little dull. The design of the autos is crisp, clean and arguably more colorful than other releases -- that gets this one to an A grade from me -- but it was a pretty boring box. (Autos also have numbered parallels using different foil colors and there are other type of cards to find beyond those here.) There were four numbered cards here but nothing really stood out from the rest save for maybe the prop card, which is a piece of the football she's holding. The thick-stock base/parallel cards here are nice but they and the prop card all are prone to or already have edge or corner wear -- the backs were pretty rough here. (That's only a big worry if you're grading the best stuff but still a bummer.) The box just felt like it needed one more card -- something different -- or some A-list name to arrive to help this one out to get it to an A box with me. The base checklist is huge with a mix of regulars, past (collectable) Playboy models and some others who have credits out there in pop culture like Sara Underwood or Carmen Electra. There are other premium cards possible, probably what drew me in, including triple autos, signed kiss cards, swatch autos and even some Hall of Fame cards where you get notables like Torrie Wilson, Holly Madison and a number of others with WWE and TV careers of note. There's pretty good potential here, so that's why I bit. I got some newcomers among the autos so that's good but I expected a little more on this one based on what I had seen.
