What's Buzz-worthy: Based on a brief search, it looks like it's been more than five years since I've ripped into some of this one -- and the last time was a hobby box on the cheap and it looks like I opened a lot of them back then, too. Those hits-filled boxes are ultimately long gone or out of my price range and that means these one-hit retail boxes are all that's left without a break-bank price considering the typical returns. This one? It shows the risk here as even a Vince Neil mem card won't justify the rip but this release is loaded with big potential for the autos that flowed regularly in hobby and are in here, too, but likely at longer odds, though we don't know them as they aren't posted. These boxes? They're cheaper but ultimately a better auto might be your only winning find here if you beat the odds. ... In hobby, these were substantially more than $100 at the time of their release, which was high back then, but the hobby boxes are much more than that now but too risky for me. These are packed with base cards so if the somewhat-drab gray cards are your thing then this is one to rip ... most all names in that set have autos here ... like many of the lesser names you don't see, too. The inserts go more vintage so older names are only found there while there are also some other surprises. For a #TBT break of the newer variety on the cheap -- as long as it's cheap and you have low expectations -- this is worth the look. If you win with the hit, it will be fun.
