What's Buzz-worthy: This one is a follow-up to a repack of sorts that I busted tons of in the past as that one was loaded with a ton of past packs and then a mix of past promo cards and then new stuff made for Eclectic. This one? It takes out the packs and focuses on the rest in a format that hasn't really gotten dramatically cheaper since it's mostly about the hits. This one was a little confusing based on what the bottom of the box details -- I didn't get anything that looked to be Eclectic base cards -- I got a couple of thick-stock cards from past releases and then the rundown but with a little more thrown in on top of it. No big deal as I knew what this one was about -- a mix of past and present. These arrive in trays inside the box so it's easy to damage card edges trying to get them out -- I might be guilty. While I pulled a few familiar names here, I don't think I pulled anything truly big price-wise -- there were a few rare numbered cards that could surprise -- but instead a mix of stuff that probably does top the box price if I were to piece this one out. (One of my better "name" autos here but not necessarily an expensive one is smudged, too.) BenchWarmer boxes have seemingly really dried up out there -- we've easily got more boxes of various brands than anywhere else -- and that got me to dabble here. I'll probably open a few more here and there while they last -- the occasional big-name auto like Sara Underwood can pay for a good chunk of a box while most autos can pick up a few bucks. In the past, the Eclectic memorabilia cards (one per box in previous release) could actually out-sell the ink. This box didn't have any bigs but it's still pretty comfortable with the volume -- and there are other boxes and brands that can deliver as well or better.
