What’s Buzz-worthy: I recently picked up a few of these at their original price ($15) and figured that was a bit of a bargain given the demand for the key Rookie Cards in this one, especially reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes, that can amount to a big win from these packs if you pull them. I will rip more of these in the next #Buzz8in8 marathon on Jan. 31 just before the Super Bowl and, well, here's a spoiler -- you can pull a second hit in some of these boxes. (Be back then to see that happen. I was shocked.) This box was a solid one with Deshaun Watson and Alvin Kamara appearances and they offer a good volume of inserts and five Red parallels (found every time) that can give you more shots at key rookies who appear throughout this one. I graded this product a B based on my earliest looks at the brand but the loaded small-format boxes like this one have made it easily among my favorites of that year and it's probably one that has aged well -- an A compared to others at this point. (But that's my original product grade below.) Also helping this box was a Silver Press Proof -- also not a typical find here -- that can add huge value if you land a notable name when you get one of those. (Not this time for me.) If you're dabbling or wanting to do some ripping as the Super Bowl nears, don't be afraid to look backward on the calendar -- good stuff doesn't vanish from boxes just because they are older.
