What's Buzz-worthy: This isn't the best Optic blaster we've busted here this year, but it still packed plenty of decent names and plenty of inserts. There are autographs to be found in these boxes, too, but this one was simply average. (Previous boxes here are tough to beat since we pulled Bellinger and Judge parallels.) If you dug in on 2017 Donruss for its array of inserts and a 1990 Donruss re-do, then you're probably going to like this one a lot. You even get five cards per pack at retail, which is something that, historically, doesn't happen with plastic-stock brands at retail so there's even safety in numbers with this one. It's a fun break for a collector -- and it can deliver pretty well.
