What's Buzz-worthy: Why are we revisiting this one? Patrick Mahomes II Rookie Cards are in here and there are parallels of that one (and all of the other notable RCs in this class) only found in these boxes. Check out the auctions for the Red and Yellow cards here and then consider that these boxes are packed with five Rated Rookies and five rookies of that type per box along with a generous amount of non-parallel RCs. You basically get 20 Rooie Cards per box here and sometimes more if your basic Prizm parallel falls on a rookie. The other potential good news here if you get the right names? These boxes seem particularly streaky -- this one being an example -- where if you get certain rookies you might get those same guys as parallels. This box didn't have Mahomes but it did have a pair of Kamara RCs and that's a win. Why are these un-numbered cards interesting? They're only in these boxes yet they don't seem that plentiful. The prices can be volatile but if there are few copies on eBay then you can challenge the market if you're a seller. (When a guy is hot, that can be more easily done.) You get a guaranteed jersey card in these -- I do think Mahomes was among those -- and that offers a it of safety in case you don't get a key rookie. I busted a bunch of these last year so now I have a weekend project -- I need to go dig up all of my cards (somewhere in my stash) and see what I can find that's hot now but wasn't last fall. These boxes (available at the link along with hobby and other formats) are worth a look. Who knows who else might emerge from last year's rookie class on the field this season?
