What's Buzz-worthy: Maybe it's some new-car smell here -- I've literally only ripped into this one once before -- but I really liked the variety of what's found here for a blaster box even when the hunt for Patrick Mahomes Rookie Cards comes up short. He can be had in this brand on rookies, parallels, inserts, memorabilia cards and autographs here, though memorabilia is guaranteed in blasters over ink. Red parallels and a number of inserts are in this format, including Crusade cards not found in this box, and there also are prime parallels on the mem cards, too. As I noted last time, this one is a safe and fun buy and there are a number of formats out there that can allow you to buy in a little more bulk -- or buy in smaller chunks than even this one. Interestingly, the hobby boxes include 10 fewer cards than blasters but include four hits. This one feels a little like Score in some respects -- not necessarily a bad thing -- and there is some strong photo editing on the insert side. The base set is a little simple on the fronts but that's helped by some solid backs. All in all, this one felt like a comfortable break -- nothing awful, nothing Earth-shattering -- and one I'd probably try again at some point just to see if I can land the MVP.
