What's Buzz-worthy: Card-wise, this one may seem like it's from A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away ... and it is. It's from 2017. It's a throwback then and a throwback now -- a 1977-styled lead-up to the latest film at that time without giving away anything more than, say, what was in a trailer. These are still findable -- and dirt cheap -- and they should be as "hits" aren't in here in any meaningful fashion beyond the manufactured Relic patches and some routine autos that are perhaps found one per case ... though there is some long-odds ink, too. ... But I'll focus on what can be found in here every time. This one uses the original Topps Star Wars design with a 110-card base set numbered in traditional form on the fronts with subset numbering on the backs -- just with cleaner printing of today. It's been done many times but that aspect just doesn't get old for this collector. If you're a hit-chaser, the hobby boxes are for you -- they guarantee an autograph every time with the potential for more -- if you can find them. The color parallels flow well here and could be a fun challenge to build some of the rarer colors, while the one insert set flows too well with mire than a set of the dual-image cards in every blaster. I actually like the grading potential here, too, but there are a lot of other releases that are more popular ... but look almost the same. Go figure. In small, cheap doses this is a fun one if you just need a throwback kind of break from the non-sport realm and remember the days of oldschool cardboard and like them better than the flash, slash and cash of rip and flip.
