What's Buzz-worthy: The magic of Chronicles hits the hardwood with this one giving us more looks at NBA rookies in designs we have seen but not for basketball. Look at the inserts/short-prints list above and you'll see a ton of rookies and some repetition -- that makes me think there will be some massive boxes out there delivering big names more than once. This one didn't wow me that much but a few jumped out at me but only one of them made me lean toward it being an A blaster. It didn't seem like enough. The blasters here are the exclusive home for Pink parallels -- I like those -- and the Rookies & Stars cards, too. Autos and mem are possible here but they are not guaranteed in every box -- but some of them are also only found here. The various "sets" in this one are actually all numbered in continuity with each other -- a move that makes sense to a degree but I'm not sure I like. Why? They're all various sizes as part of a 633-card master set (excluding parallels). The variety here could make this one vanish quickly -- especially with the top rookies possible this year -- and I think it's one I might revisit again as an NBA go-to when I need to scratch that itch. We'll see -- image landing a Luka Doncic or Trae Young box like this one delivered for Mo Bamba.
