What's Buzz-worthy: Just like last year, these jumbo boxes of this hobby-only product give you a mess of base cards, a ton of Chromes and a good volume of standard Refractors every time. All of those are chances at the elite names that can be money-makers -- especially if they're rarer versions. This box included an image variation (one in 196 packs; check your Refractor backs to see if it doesn't say Refractor), a look at standard Sparkles -- one in 24 for the regular one and an auto that's one in 225. The biggest pull here statistically, though, is a one in 1,254 pack Gold Recommended Viewing dual auto that came as a redemption. The Sparkle auto is a card that has sold for $95, while the Bichette variation has sold for as much as $20 and the dual-auto redemption has gotten $35. None of them are near the $15,000 paid for the Nolan Gorman Superfractor but they are all examples of how basic cards on the rarer side can command cash easily in this one -- and we're in the depths of the off-season where some baseball fans may not be looking. (The prospectors, on the other hand, are all over their guys here.) The big names didn't flow as well here on the Chrome side but there's a ton to look into here with all of the Refractors and inserts -- and remember that it's a Hobby-only release so these boxes and the Super Jumbos (five autos per box) are the only options. This box was above average for sure but there can always be surprises now ... or later when players emerge on the field.
