What's Buzz-worthy: Buzz was on the fence on this one after seeing that these Walmart-exclusive boxes are $10 higher (the starting retail price) than last year, but this one delivered pretty well with appearances by Shohei Ohtani, Ronald Acuna, Ozzie Albies and two autos that aren't bad -- Luis Robert's first live MLB ink and and an Ice parallel. I also was on the fence about the base design with its dark backdrop for a foilboard-enhanced rainbow swirl but these look better in person than they photograph. The inserts are similar to last year and this box included a pair of numbered parallels (one of a base card one of an insert). The Purple is one in 47 packs, while the Green is one in 591. The ice auto is one in 247 -- and that trio alone gets this box a good grade. Throw in the names mentioned before and it's an A. I'm not a big fan of foilboard and not a super-heavy prospector but I generally liked the feel of this one with the guaranteed ink. The blasters can have ink but it's not guaranteed and there are parallels specific to those and the jumbo packs. The store display trays have room for just two of these so that's what will probably what will arrive when first loaded but I'd expect more to come in latter weeks if they're moving. I'd bet that they do, too based on demand in recent years.
