What's Buzz-worthy: I haven't quite found a go-to NFL brand for myself this year and since the rookie crop last year is strong -- or at least has a few favorites for me -- I opted for a pair of these boxes at a fraction of their original price. They originally were $29.98 at retail since they guarantee a hit every time but I didn't do a ton of these because a premium price for a mem card doesn't always work -- but after an A+ first box I kind of latched onto these cards that do have a relatively premium feel. There was no ink to be found here but since we're in the midst of a new NFL season I figured I'd revisit this one. The green inserts are only found in these boxes so that could help value on some of these but by now there are likely some lower singles prices out there. Could I have done better? Sure. Could I have done worse? Yep. One thing that did surprise me here -- something I had not seen in a number of past breaks -- was finding a numbered standard Rookie Card here. Had that been a Baker Mayfield or other top name, this would have been an easy A. At a discounted price, these were pretty decent rips but without any obvious TD-caliber huge card. I'm fine with that -- I'm still ahead from my A+ box last year, mono or not.
